In order to ensure a piece is flat, a router sled jig is used to create the initial flat reference surface

I deliver my furniture for a fee based on mileage or the piece can be shipped domestically; roughly estimated ahead of time and calculated finally upon completion of the project. My clients also have the option of picking the piece up from my studio.

Build & Delivery

I schedule my projects and give a rough estimate of completion based on my current schedule. After that, I pick the material from what I have in stock and what is available at my local suppliers, planing down the rough hewn boards and updating you through the process as your piece is assembled with integrity in mind - using a combination of joinery, glue and screws as fasteners.

My projects finish is selected based on its application and the wood species but I always select finishes with no VOC’s (volatile organic compounds) that provide a durable and beautiful finish. Most of my furniture aside from particular applications is finished with Rubio Monocoat. Kitchen accessories are finished with a food safe combination of mineral oil and beeswax.

Bow tie inlays are sometimes used to secure a troublesome crack from potentially opening more over time

Care is taken to insure the longevity of each piece. On larger tables, steel c channel with slots is installed to keep the table flat over time while still allowing for wood movement.

Where appropriate, joinery is used to insure the stability, integrity and strength of a piece.
