Estate Woodworks offers a 30 day return on all of our one of a kind pieces. Items received damaged, defective or not as described will be repaired or replaced if possible, or if not returned at our expense. Custom orders can only be cancelled within three days of ordering after which time no refunds or replacements will be given. All other returns must be sent back at the buyers expense in the condition in which they were received and a 30% restocking fee will be applied.
Barnwood/Reclaimed wood Information:
Rustic woods such as barn wood, wormy chestnut, wormy maple and other reclaimed/and or weathered wood may contain holes, uneven surfaces, cracks and other small defects that are the nature of the wood. This is the real thing not a manufactured product so some defects are part of the natural character of the wood such as cracking, nail holes, thickness variations, mixed grain patterns, mineral staining, weathering, discoloration or staining, rough sawn marks, loose knots etc.
Live Edge/Figured Lumber Information:
With live edge lumber each slab is unique and some natural movement, variations and small defects can be expected in a slab. When purchasing a custom order the slab or figured wood you receive may look drastically different from the original piece pictured because each slab of wood is a unique and one of a kind piece. Some types of character to expect would be the following: cracking, slight thickness variations, mixed grain patterns, slight warping or bowing, mineral staining, weathering, discoloration or staining, rough sawn marks, knots, wormholes, etc. With a live edge slab if we start with a 2” piece final thickness will vary from 1.5-2”. Some movement in the wood is natural and warping less than 3/8” is considered normal as the wood acclimates to your home and does not alone constitute a refund or return.
Warranty Information:
I offer a 30 day warranty on all products that arrive damaged, defective or not as described or for pieces that warp beyond 3/8”, or have loose glue line cracks that cause structural concerns or other defects that make the item unusable. I will either repair, replace or refund the item if it is found to have any of the problems outlined above. Any cosmetic defects that are common to the style of wood such as worm holes, mineral staining, knots, hairline cracks, weathering, discoloration, uneven edges, etc do not constitute a refund or return. Any shipping damage must be brought to Estatoe Woodworks attention immediately after receiving the shipment. No other company, institution or organizations products are warrantied or guaranteed by Estatoe Woodworks.
Before you buy information:
-Estatoe Woodworks will not pay for or replace for issues related to wood movement that can be corrected with common techniques such as uneven floors, adding felt bumpers, etc.
-Estatoe Woodworks will not pay for or replace in the event of minor joint cracks, loose knots, moisture damage or sun damage.
-Estatoe Woodworks will not pay for or replace an item in the event of an undesired finish.
-Estatoe Woodworks will not pay for or replace an item in the event of natural movement from climate changes, moisture, temperature or humidity that warps or bows an item under 3/8”.
-Estatoe Woodworks will not pay for or replace an item for moisture damage as a result of being in a bathroom, atrium, outdoors, in a yoga studio, etc.
-Estatoe Woodworks will not pay for or replace an item due to issues with another companies products - such as table legs - arriving bent, damaged, not as ordered, with a different hole pattern as pre drilled or not as desired.
-Estatoe Woodworks will not pay for or replace another companies products such as legs, light fixtures, wiring or other accessories that are not as desired but as described.
